job opportunities now available on starke county economic development foundation’s website

Starke County, Indiana – June 16, 2010 – The Starke County Economic Development Foundation (SCEDF) today unveiled a “Job Opportunities” section on its website.Persons seeking employment can now go to the Foundation’s website at and click on the “Job Opportunities” Hot Button to view industrial jobs that are available in Starke County, job requirements, and how to apply.

The cost-free “Job Opportunities” feature allows persons to view job openings posted on the website by local employers and personnel agencies.Utilizing an online form, an employer or personnel agency provides information about job openings.  After review by SCEDF, the posting is immediately viewable on the website.The job opening is removed when filled.The service is free and anyone with access to the internet can check the site as frequently as they wish for new opportunities.By clicking on the “Job Opportunities” hot button on the bottom of the home page, a user is taken to the location of the job postings.

Weaver, Executive Director of SCEDF said, “We felt that allowing employers and personnel agencies to post these openings on our website is just another example of helping both our employers and our workforce find each other.   By doing so, we continue our mission of creating opportunities and delivering on promises in that we create the job opportunity for Starke County citizens while partnering with our County businesses to keep them strong and vital.”
