Charles W. Weaver, Executive Director of the Starke County Economic Development Foundation (SCEDF) has recently taken on some additional responsibilities with a state economic development organization.

IEDA was formed in 1968 as an association of economic development professionals to provide continuity to a statewide community development effort and over the years has evolved into an organization actively engaged in influencing legislation and policies.Weaver continues to serve on the Board of Directors of the IEDA Foundation.
Weaver joins a Board composed of fourteen (14) members from around Indiana, including SCEDF President, Diane Thalmann.Weaver sees this service as a natural step from his duties with SCEDF in that “this Board gives me an opportunity to carefully review legislation being considered by the General Assembly and its potential impact on economic development efforts all over Indiana.”
Lee Lewellen, the Chief Executive Officer of IDEA added that ‘Charlie’s service on the IEDA board is a win/win for Starke County and for economic development in Indiana. We get to take advantage of Charlie’s impressive expertise and experience and he gets to further extend his network to economic development professionals around the state. We’re very fortunate to have him on the board.”
