Starke County saw a sharp increase in its unemployment rate for November, moving from 3.5% in October to 4.0% in November. Starke was one of several counties in Indiana to experience such an increase. The County labor force declined for the month as well.
The Indiana rate remained at 3.2% for the month, just slightly less than the national rate of 3.3%. Indiana continues to have the lowest rate among its neighboring states of Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky, and Ohio.
