County Unemployment Rate for June Increases Along With All 92 Indiana Counties

The unemployment rate in Starke County for the month of June increased from 3.5% up to 3.8% according to figures released yesterday.  The primary reason for the increase was the jump in the number of people in the labor force, with that figure increasing by 158 people, which also factored into an increase in the number of people unemployed by 36.  The number of people employed also increased by 122.  While the State of Indiana reported a decrease in the state unemployment rate for the month, from 3.6% to 3.5%, all 92 Indiana counties showed an increase in their rate.
